PJWRG is now hiring for an Accounting Manager at our corporate office in Westmont, NJ
Reports to: Controller
Summary of Position:
The Accounting Manager is a critical member of the Accounting and Finance team. He/she is responsible for overseeing all aspects of corporate accounting. The Accounting Manager will perform general accounting and administrative functions in accordance with established policies, procedures, and controls.
General Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for leading corporate accounting activities including but not limited to:
- Month-end close (including accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, detailed P&L review, and all related reporting/commentary)
- Cash/Treasury
- Fixed assets
- Bank Reconciliations
- Sales and use tax preparation for filing
- Lease accounting
- Play key role and interface with all key external and internal stakeholders including vendors, landlords, auditors, banking partners, etc.
- Oversee outsourced service provider performance and scope including sales audit, cash deposits, supporting documentation and any other special projects
- Assist in annual 1099 filing process
- Partner with Controller and CFO to support annual audit and tax work
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Operations, IT, Facilities, etc.) to drive process improvements
- Support special projects including new store openings and/or system integrations
- Develop team members by promoting culture of career and professional development
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Suite of products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong Proficiency in US GAAP and Technical Accounting
- Experience in R365 or other similar ERP system preferred
- Detail oriented and excellent communication skills
- Ability to plan, prioritize tasks, continuously improve processes
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and with cross-functional team members in Operations, IT, and Facilities
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA preferred)
- 5-7 years of experience in Corporate Accounting within the Retail/Restaurant industry and/or Public Accounting (Big 4 preferred)

Salary: $95,000-$105,000 annually
