Job description:
Paul James Olszewski, PLS, PLLC, is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business that offers a full array of design, planning and construction evaluation service. We are seeking a CAD Designer to join our team. This position requires a high level of technical expertise in CAD design. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects and contribute to the development of innovative products.
Responsibilities:
· Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings using AutoCAD, Cyclone Products & MicroStation.
· Collaborate with engineers, designers and surveyors to develop accurate technical drawings and models
· Review and modify existing CAD drawings as necessary
· Maintain organized files and records of CAD designs and revisions
· Analyze surveys, reports, maps and other materials to identify best approach in developing and completing projects on time and within budget
· Research and review deeds, ordinances, field notes, municipal, state and federal codes to ensure compliance
· All other responsibilities as assigned
Skills:
· Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., MicroStation, AutoCAD, Carlson)
· Solid basic understanding of surveying principles and standards
· Ability to interpret technical drawings
· Experience with point clouds is a plus
· Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
· Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
