NOW HIRING – CONVENTIONAL ROTARY DRILL RIG DRILLER ( 1500 Conventional Mud/Air Rotary Kelly Rig)
We are looking for a dependable, hardworking individual to join our drilling crew operating a conventional rotary drill rig at the Pumpkin Buttes, Gillette, WY. Must be able to drill water well style, uranium wells.
All employees meet in a designated pick up location and company trucks will pick up each morning to go to the field and return each evening.
Position
Driller, who has experience with conventional rotary drilling, water well drilling, mineral/exploration drilling, or similar heavy drilling equipment is required. We are willing to consider someone with strong mechanical ability and the right work ethic who is willing to learn.
Job Duties
● Operate and/or assist with a conventional rotary drill rig
● Handle drill pipe, tooling, casing, and drilling equipment
● Mix and maintain drilling fluids
● Assist with tripping pipe and general rig operations
● Perform routine maintenance, greasing, inspections, and repairs
● Operate support trucks and equipment as needed
● Keep the rig and work area clean and organized
● Work safely around heavy equipment, rotating equipment, and high-pressure systems
Requirements
● Dependable and able to show up on time every scheduled workday
● Strong work ethic and willingness to work long hours
● Mechanically inclined
● Must be able to Pilot, Ream, Case, and Under ream for in-situ leaching
● Comfortable working outdoors in Wyoming weather
● Physically capable of performing demanding drilling work
● Valid driver’s license & clean motor vehicle report
● Able to work well as part of a small crew
● Must take safety and equipment care seriously
CDL and/or CDL knowledge are a plus, but not required.
Schedule
This is not a typical 8–5 job. Hours can be long and will depend on drilling conditions, weather, equipment, and the job. Applicants need to understand the demands of working on a drilling crew.
We work M-F, no nights or weekends or major holidays.
Pay
Competitive pay based on drilling experience and ability.
Paid drive time available.
Additional compensation/bonuses/benefits can be discussed based on experience and position.
We are looking for someone who wants a long-term position, takes pride in their work, takes care of equipment, and can be counted on by the rest of the crew.
Pay: $24.00 - $35.00 per hour
