We are seeking a motivated and skilled Garage Door Installer to join our dynamic team! Duties
- Install new garage doors, including framing, door hanging, and fixture installation using hand tools and power tools
- Perform precise measurements, blueprint reading, and schematics interpretation to ensure accurate installations
- Conduct metal stud framing and fabricate custom components as needed for unique project requirements
- Execute glass installation and locksmithing tasks to secure doors and enhance functionality
- Use welding skills for metal fabrication and repairs, ensuring durability and safety of installations
- Complete remodeling tasks such as trim carpentry, caulking, and cabinet installation to achieve polished finishes
- Assist with electrical wiring and electrical experience tasks related to garage door openers and safety sensors
Requirements
- Proven experience with construction site work, including door hanging, framing, and metal stud framing
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in fabrication, welding, and schematics reading
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for installation tasks
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during the transportation and installation of large doors
- Knowledge of glass installation, fixture installation, locksmithing, and electrical systems is highly desirable
- Prior handyman experience or carpentry background preferred; construction or remodeling experience is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately
