Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, smoothies, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately.
• Engage with customers warmly, taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and providing personalized recommendations to enhance their experience.
• Maintain cleanliness of the café area by regularly cleaning equipment, counters, and seating areas in accordance with food safety standards.
• Handle cash transactions with precision, process payments, give change, and balance cash drawers at shift end.
• Assist in food handling and preparation tasks as needed, ensuring all food safety protocols are followed diligently.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining high-quality service standards.

Requirements

• Previous barista or food service experience is preferred; familiarity with coffee preparation is a plus.
• Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with diverse guests.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and processing transactions accurately.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours.
