We are looking to add a Warehouse Assistant to the team.
Position Details:
- Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm (1-hour lunch) at our Bethpage Warehouse
- $25/hour Benefits (Non-Union)
- Approved overtime available
- Reports to Director of Warehouse Operations
What You'll Do:
You'll be the hub of our warehouse operations, keeping everything running smoothly from receiving to dispatch. Your day-to-day includes:
- Managing receiving: inspect shipments, document with photos, update logs and PO notes
- Coordinate with drivers and handle delivery/pickup requests efficiently via email
- Draft and send emails, including daily driver schedules (we'll train you on our formats)
- Track inventory and order supplies, tools, and refrigerants as needed
- Operate forklifts
- Prepare driver paperwork with packing slips and PO documentation
- Make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment
Training & Development:
We'll set you up for success with comprehensive training on our systems and processes. You'll also spend a week in our Dispatch/Purchasing Department to understand the full operation and have the opportunity to go into the field with supervisors to see how your work impacts the team.
What You Need:
- Computer proficiency (Word and Excel)
- Ability to operate forklifts
- Ability to lift, bend, and walk
- Nice to have an EPA Card (Type A or higher) for refrigerant handling
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple priorities
- Team-oriented mindset and strong communication skills
