Duties
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
- Handle cash register operations with precision, including cash handling and cash drawer management
- Deliver excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and providing product information
- Assist customers with product demos and upselling opportunities to enhance their shopping experience
- Stock shelves and organize merchandise to maintain an attractive store environment
- Maintain proper phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support merchandising efforts by organizing displays and ensuring products are well-presented
- Conduct basic math calculations quickly and accurately for transactions and inventory counts
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems and cash register operations in a retail or grocery store setting
- Strong customer service skills with excellent communication abilities in bilingual environments preferred
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions, inventory, and sales reporting
- Knowledge of retail store product details, merchandising techniques, and stock management
- Ability to handle cash drawer handling responsibly and perform cash handling tasks efficiently
- Familiarity with grocery store operations or retail sales transactions is advantageous
- Excellent phone etiquette and professional communication skills for customer interactions
- Experience in upselling products to maximize sales opportunities
