The Picklr State College is hiring Front Desk Team Members for our new indoor pickleball facility, with positions estimated to start in mid-August.

We are looking for friendly, reliable, and energetic team members who enjoy working with people and want to be part of a fun, active, community-focused environment. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys customer service, sports, fitness, hospitality, or being around pickleball.

We are hiring for both full-time and part-time positions.

Position Details

Location: State College, PA
Estimated Start Date: Mid-August
Pay: Starting at $15/hour
Raise Opportunities: Based on performance reviews

Anticipated Club Hours

Monday – Friday: 6:00 AM – 10:00 PM
Saturday – Sunday: 7:00 AM – 9:00 PM

Schedules may include morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts. Evening and weekend availability is preferred, but not required at this time.

What You’ll Do

Front Desk Team Members help create a welcoming, organized, and professional experience for members, guests, and first-time visitors.

Responsibilities include:

• Greet members and guests as they enter the club
• Assist with check-ins, court reservations, and general questions
• Answer phone calls and respond to basic club inquiries
• Help explain memberships, programs, events, and open play options
• Process payments and point-of-sale transactions
• Assist with paddle demos, retail items, and basic inventory
• Support leagues, clinics, tournaments, and special events as needed
• Help keep the front desk, lobby, courts, bathrooms, and common areas clean and organized
• Perform light cleaning and daily club upkeep throughout each shift
• Communicate member feedback, facility issues, or concerns to management
• Help maintain a positive, upbeat, and community-first environment

What We’re Looking For

The right candidate does not need to be a pickleball expert. We are looking for someone who is dependable, personable, and willing to learn.

Ideal candidates are:

• Friendly, welcoming, and comfortable talking with people
• Reliable and on time
• Organized and able to multitask
• Comfortable using basic technology and reservation/payment systems
• Able to stay calm and helpful during busy check-in periods
• Willing to clean, reset spaces, and help wherever needed
• Interested in pickleball, sports, fitness, or community recreation
• Evening and weekend availability preferred, but not required
