Restaurant Team Member - Morning Shift

Pizza World Cedar Rapids is looking for a dependable, friendly, and motivated team member to help with morning preparation, daily operations, and customer service.

This position involves both customer-facing responsibilities and hands-on restaurant work. Team members are expected to help wherever needed to keep the restaurant clean, organized, prepared, and running efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, attentive, and professional customer service to every guest.
• Greet customers promptly, accurately take orders, answer questions, and assist with dine-in, pickup, and phone orders.
• Complete daily food preparation, including preparing ingredients, stocking supplies, and organizing workstations.
• Assist with opening procedures to ensure the restaurant is prepared for daily service.
• Prepare and serve menu items according to company recipes and food safety standards.
• Wash dishes, clean tables, sanitize surfaces, and maintain clean dining and kitchen areas.
• Operate the register and process customer transactions accurately.
• Pour and serve beer from our Voodoo Brewing Co. taproom while following responsible alcohol service procedures.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and help maintain efficient service during busy periods.
• Address customer questions or concerns professionally and involve management when necessary.
• Complete additional cleaning, stocking, and preparation tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for independent alcoholic beverage service responsibilities.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn food preparation, restaurant procedures, and beer service.
• Ability to stay organized and handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to assist with cleaning, dishes, food preparation, and other daily tasks.
• Previous restaurant or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Previous experience with or knowledge of craft beer is a plus, but not required.

Schedule

• Morning and daytime shifts.
• Availability to arrive earlier when scheduled to assist with preparation and opening responsibilities.
• Schedule and hours based on restaurant needs and employee availability.

Pay: $7.25 - $15.00 per hour
