Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage reservations using OpenTable or similar reservation systems.
- Take accurate orders and communicate effectively with kitchen staff using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation standards are maintained.
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols.
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering systems, including POS and cash handling procedures.
- Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, including host/hostess roles or serving positions.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously.
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations within the food industry.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking efficiently.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and bill splitting; experience with cashiering preferred.
- Culinary or kitchen experience is advantageous but not required; enthusiasm for learning about food preparation is appreciated.
