In between deliveries you will be required to help with taking phone orders, expo, folding boxes and other misscellaneous tasks If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and love engaging with people, this position is your perfect fit!
Responsibilities
- Safely operate personal vehicle with up to date auto insurance.
- Follow established routes using mobile devices or GPS systems to optimize delivery times and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Load and unload food items carefully, adhering to safe lifting practices and manual handling procedures.
- Maintain compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws during all driving activities.
- Provide friendly, professional customer service by greeting guests warmly and addressing any delivery inquiries.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed with attention to detail, including verifying order accuracy and handling payments if applicable.
- Keep delivery vehicles clean, organized, and well-maintained to ensure safety and efficiency on the road.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and up to date auto insurance
- Prior delivery driver experience is highly desirable; familiarity with route driving and mobile devices is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy boxes or food containers using safe manual handling techniques; previous kitchen or material handling experience is advantageous.
- Knowledge of traffic regulations, weight handling in the workplace, and DOT regulations related to commercial driving.
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities.
