Duties
- Greet customers warmly, take their orders accurately, and provide friendly, efficient service at the front counter
- Operate POS, handle cash, credit card transactions, and manage food orders seamlessly
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety standards, including basic food prep tasks like assembling sandwiches or packaging snacks
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the front counter area, including food handling stations, dining spaces, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with bussing tables, clearing trays, and ensuring the dining area remains tidy and inviting
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining quality standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or quick service & fast food restaurant environments is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn!
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus; training will be provided if needed
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math for transactions and retail math calculations
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in cashiering, upselling, serving, or retail environments is advantageous
- Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during high-volume periods
