Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Handle cash transactions efficiently, ensuring proper cash handling and register accuracy.
• Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety standards, including basic food prep and food handling.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including bussing tables and cleaning food prep stations.
• Upsell menu items to enhance sales and improve customer experience through friendly suggestions.
• Assist with food safety procedures, including proper sanitation practices and adherence to health regulations.
• Support team members with food service duties, including serving customers quickly and efficiently in a fast-food or quick-service environment.

Skills

• Proven experience in food preparation, cashiering, or food service roles within cafés, restaurants, or grocery stores.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for smooth transaction processing.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate order processing.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
