Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Handle cash transactions efficiently, ensuring proper cash handling and register accuracy.
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety standards, including basic food prep and food handling.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including bussing tables and cleaning food prep stations.
- Upsell menu items to enhance sales and improve customer experience through friendly suggestions.
- Assist with food safety procedures, including proper sanitation practices and adherence to health regulations.
- Support team members with food service duties, including serving customers quickly and efficiently in a fast-food or quick-service environment.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cashiering, or food service roles within cafés, restaurants, or grocery stores.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for smooth transaction processing.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate order processing.
