We are seeking Key Holders to support our management team and help lead strong, consistent shifts. Ideal candidates are experienced bartenders who enjoy taking on leadership responsibilities and supporting service standards throughout the restaurant.
Position Overview
The Key Holder is a hybrid role that combines bartending with light management duties. You will serve as a shift leader when managers are not present, ensuring smooth operations, great guest experiences, and a cohesive team culture. While this is not a full manager position, it is a leadership role with added responsibility, decision-making authority, and opportunities for growth.
What You'll Do
Bartending & Guest Experience
- Deliver high-level bar service, craft cocktails, and knowledgeable beverage recommendations.
- Maintain bar quality standards, cleanliness, prep, and organization.
- Create a warm, engaging environment for guests seated at the bar and throughout the restaurant.
Light Management & Leadership
- Open and/or close the restaurant depending on shift assignment.
- Serve as the point of contact for staff during service.
- Assist with staff support, coaching, and maintaining service flow.
- Monitor quality of food and beverage execution.
- Communicate shift notes, service issues, and operational updates to management.
Operations & Support
- Conduct cash-handling functions such as drawer counts or simple POS corrections.
- Support floor service by running food, assisting servers, or seating guests as needed.
- Help uphold cleanliness, restocking, and side-work expectations across the restaurant.
- Ensure the restaurant meets Taxman Hospitality Group standards at all times.
What We're Looking For
- Bartending experience required (craft cocktail experience strongly preferred).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to lead by example.
- Calm, professional demeanor and a guest-first mindset.
- Ability to multitask and manage service flow during busy periods.
- Reliability for opening/closing shifts and light leadership responsibilities.
- Evening and weekend availability.
