Job Summary
We're looking to add a Shift Lead to our Pizza Knight team! In this role, you will be responsible for managing your team and ensuring the shop is prepared for a smooth shift, as well as providing excellent customer service and ensuring our customers have an experience they want to come back to. Tasks may include (but are not limited to) training new hires, money management, ingredient/dough prep, inventory, assisting with order assembly, and supporting the kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations. Your attention to detail and commitment to food safety will contribute to delivering high-quality meals that delight our guests. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary expertise in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Open availabilty (being flexible to work other shifts as needed) is encouraged. Shift Leads earn between $12.50 and $16 an hour. Pay is based on experience and will be discussed upon interviewing.
Responsibilities
- Ensure any tills and deposits are accurate for your shift
- Interact with customers (over the phone or in person) to ensure an excellent customer experience
- Assist our kitchen staff, ensuring presentation and portion control meet quality expectations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store
- Handle food safely by following proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures
- Assist with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying supervisors of low supplies or expired items
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age to apply for Shift Lead positions.
- Previous pizza experience, food handling and/or management experience preferred
- Knowledge of food handling, safety standards and sanitation practices is essential (Servsafe certification a plus!)
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Must be open to new ideas and positive changes that promote growth to the business
