Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items with attention to detail, following established recipes and standards.
- Assist in food production tasks such as grilling, braising, poaching, and food handling to ensure timely meal service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including sanitizing procedures and proper food storage practices.
- Support the team during busy periods by efficiently managing high-volume food preparation and service.
- Follow food safety management protocols to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests.
- Participate in menu planning efforts and contribute ideas for new dishes or specials.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate meal assembly and presentation.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in restaurant kitchens or culinary environments is highly preferred, especially with fine dining or high-volume production settings.
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques such as grilling, braising, frying, and food prep are essential.
- Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling regulations is required.
- Experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus, demonstrating an understanding of special dietary needs.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
