Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care across various settings, including long-term care, assisted living, hospitals, and community health environments. Duties
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts.
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately and report any abnormalities to nursing staff.
- Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation in medical records.
- Provide specialized care for patients with dementia, Alzheimer's, memory care needs, or behavioral health conditions.
- Assist with catheter care, wound care, and aseptic techniques to prevent infection.
- Support patients in rehabilitation activities and promote independence during recovery or long-term care.
- Document patient information thoroughly using EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in settings such as ICU, trauma centers (Level I & II), pediatric units (PICU), or hospice care environments.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control standards at all times.
- Engage with patients of all ages including pediatrics and geriatrics in outpatient, inpatient, or home care settings.
Requirements
- Valid CNA certification with current licensure.
- Experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including ICU, trauma centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home & community care.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and HIPAA regulations.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, or similar platforms.
- Ability to perform basic life support (BLS) and demonstrate competency in infection control practices such as aseptic technique.
- Experience caring for patients with complex needs including behavioral health issues or disabilities.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Physical ability to assist with patient mobility and perform caregiving tasks safely and compassionately.
