Are you a people person? We are a busy, community-focused business in the Forty Fort & Jenkins Twp, PA area looking for a reliable, energetic Cashier to be the voice of our team. We pride ourselves on delivering excellent service and building lasting relationships with our customers.
The Role:
We are seeking an organized multi-tasker who can handle the front counter and answer incoming phone calls with a smile. You will be the first point of contact for our customers, helping them with their purchases and answering their inquiries over the phone as well as waiting on customers in our stores.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate cash registers, process payments, and balance drawers accurately.
- Answer multi-line phone calls promptly, address inquiries, and take orders.
- Greet customers in a warm, friendly manner whether in person or on the phone.
- Assist customers with product questions and resolve minor complaints.
- Keep the checkout and front desk area clean, tidy, and well-organized.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong communication and active listening skills (phone etiquette is a must!).
- Basic math skills and comfort handling cash transactions.
- A positive attitude, patience, and the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
- Previous cashier or customer service experience is a plus, but we provide paid training.

Duties
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process sales accurately and quickly
- Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and perform cash handling duties.
- Maintain clean and organized checkout areas, including merchandising and stocking
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries professionally via phone or in person while practicing proper phone etiquette
- Promote store promotions and sales to maximize revenue through effective upselling techniques
Requirements
- Previous cashiering or retail sales experience preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to provide friendly, professional customer service.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work flexible hours as needed.
- Knowledge of restaurant store operations is beneficial.
- A positive attitude combined with excellent phone etiquette and customer-focused mindset is essential.
- Permanent job requirement with good availability.
- Nights/days and weekends a must.
Pay: $20,000.00 - $23,000.00 per year
