We are seeking an experienced SAP EWM Technical Architect / Senior Technical Consultant to provide technical leadership and hands-on development expertise for SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) implementations. This role focuses on EWM technical architecture design, including service-oriented concepts, Master Data Layer (MDL), ERP–EWM integrations, and scalable warehouse solutions. The consultant will work directly with business users and client stakeholders to design, build, and optimize SAP EWM solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
This role requires up to 50% travel to Minnesota.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the SAP EWM technical architect and advisor for implementation and enhancement initiatives.
Design and govern SAP EWM technical architecture, including:
Service-based and integration-oriented design
Master Data Layer (MDL) and data consistency between ERP and EWM
ERP–EWM interface and integration frameworks
Provide SAP development consulting expertise across the full delivery lifecycle (design, build, test, deploy).
Develop, test, and deliver custom SAP EWM solutions using ABAP OO best practices.
Design and implement:
Custom reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms
RF Framework screens and transactions
Warehouse Monitor reports and enhancements
Implement and enhance PPF (Post Processing Framework) for outputs, alerts, and follow-on processing.
Support and optimize EWM processes including:
Goods Receipt and Goods Issue
Physical Inventory
Replenishment, wave management, and cross-docking
Collaborate closely with functional teams and business users to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Work independently while maintaining strong documentation and client communication standards.
Required Experience & Skills
7–12 years of experience as an SAP EWM Technical Consultant.
Strong knowledge of SAP EWM organizational elements, master data, and structural design.
ABAP OO development expertise is mandatory.
Hands-on experience with:
Warehouse Monitor and RF Framework
Custom enhancements, BAdIs, user exits, and modifications
ERP–EWM interfaces and integration scenarios
Solid understanding of:
Goods Receipt & Goods Issue processing
Physical Inventory
Process- and layout-oriented storage control
Production Supply and Production Integration
Experience with advanced EWM capabilities:
Slotting and Rearrangement
Yard Management and Labor Management
Replenishment processing
Wave-based delivery processing and cross-docking
Knowledge of:
Transportation planning and yard-integrated warehouse processes
Resource optimization and physical movement control
Quality inspections and serial number management
Experience with EWM analytics and reporting.
Familiarity with enterprise mobility solutions and warehouse RF hardware.
Salary : $90 - $95
