What are the responsibilities and job description for the Computer Vision Engineer position at Pixels on Target LLC?
We're hiring: Computer Vision Engineer (Senior to Principal). On-site at Pixels HQ, Sunrise, FL.
At Pixels On Target, every pixel has a job: get the operator on target faster and bring them home. We design and build uncooled thermal sights, fire control, and multi-sensor targeting systems for the warfighter. If you have spent your career making cameras then this one is for you.
What you will own
- End-to-end image quality on LWIR and MWIR systems, from sensor through the ISP pipeline to the operator's display
- Algorithms for NUC, bad pixel correction, tone mapping, denoise, sharpening, EO / IR fusion, and detection-grade preprocessing
- Production C on embedded targets, with tight memory and timing budgets and real hardware in the loop
- Sensor characterization, lab bring-up, and field validation alongside our optics and systems engineers
What we are looking for
- Senior to Principal level track record shipping computer vision into hardware products that customers actually use
- Deep camera ISP experience. You have tuned a pipeline, not just read about one
- Strong modern C (17 / 20), comfortable in low-level code and on the math
- Hands-on experience with LWIR and / or MWIR cameras, microbolometers, cooled IR FPAs, or analogous sensors
- Comfort with the full chain: optics, detector, ADC, ISP, display, human in the loop
Strong pluses
- SystemVerilog and FPGA pipeline experience (Xilinx / AMD, Lattice, or similar)
- CUDA, NEON, or other SIMD acceleration
- OpenCV at depth, classical CV plus modern ML detectors
- Prior delivery into DoD, federal, or public safety programs
The fine print
This is a full-time, on-site role at our Sunrise, Florida headquarters. We build hardware. Hardware does not ship over Teams call. Competitive compensation, real ownership, and a team that ships.
If you want your work carried by the men and women in uniform, apply for this position.
Deliver an Unfair Fight.
