Location: US, Canada, or Mexico (must be able to travel onsite as needed. There will be travel required in East Coast (Boston, NYC, Philly), Midwest (Chicago, Minneapolis), Texas (Houston, Dallas), West Coast (SF Bay Area, Seattle). In addition, there might be some travel to Canada and Mexico. It is not that the candidate will be traveling every month to these cities but just citing cities where the client has offices and might have to travel ). Will suggest to not consider anyone who has any travel restrictions or limitations. As there is travel to Canada, Mexico, so no H1 candidates. So, ideal preference for a Citizen, GC.

Overview

The client urgently needs a senior AI/DataSphere Architect who can represent the AI program directly in front of customers and lead full lifecycle AI deployments on SAP DataSphere. This consultant must be polished, client-facing, and capable of taking an AI solution from discovery architecture build deployment post-go-live.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end AI solution deployments using SAP DataSphere, including:
  • Data modeling and ingestion pipelines
  • Semantic modeling
  • AI/ML integration
  • Production rollout and operationalization
• Serve as the primary onshore AI consultant presenting technical concepts to executives, business users, and IT leadership.
• Define architectural blueprints for DataSphere AI integration with SAP systems and external data.
• Provide hands-on guidance for RAG workflows, LLM integration, feature store development, and model deployment patterns.
• Drive data governance, lineage, security modeling, and scalable enterprise AI patterns.
• Partner with offshore engineering teams to execute technical components.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5 10 years working in enterprise data or AI architecture roles.
• Proven full lifecycle AI solution delivery experience, using SAP DataSphere.
• Strong understanding of:
  • SAP ecosystem (S/4, BW, BTP)
  • AI/ML pipelines, vector databases, model orchestration
  • LLM frameworks and enterprise AI governance
• Exceptional communication skills; able to lead workshops, discovery sessions, and executive-level discussions.
• Prior experience delivering customer-facing AI solutions in production.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with Azure OpenAI, AI Core on SAP BTP, or SAP Datasphere AI extensions.
• Certifications in SAP DataSphere, BTP, or Cloud AI platforms.

Ability to coordinate with nearshore/offshore engineering teams
