Systems Administrator
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive IT Systems Administrator to manage and maintain our organization’s IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in-house, Co-located and Cloud information systems that support core organizational functions. This includes servers, networks, IAM, cloud platforms, software, and security systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software, and hardware for Physical and Virtual servers and workstations.
- HyperV
- AWS EC2
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high levels of availability and security
- Manage Active Directory, EntraID, IAM, Auth, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Intune MFA and user access controls
- Perform and monitor regular backup operations and employ disaster recovery procedures when necessary
- Maintain and support network infrastructure including firewalls, switches, routers, and wireless systems
- Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis and upgrade administrative tools and utilities
- Administer cloud services: Microsoft 365, MS Teams, SharePoint, AWS and integrate them with on-prem infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry best practices for IT governance and data security
- Provide support to end users, resolve technical issues, and document solutions
- Collaborate with clients, partners, vendors and third-party support as necessary
- Create and maintain documentation for systems configurations, procedures, and standards
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3 years of experience in IT systems administration
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server environments. Physical and Virtual.
- Proficiency with virtualization platforms (e.g. Hyper-V)
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS. Azure a plus.
- Solid understanding of firewall configuration and administration, networking principles and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.)
- Familiarity with cybersecurity practices and tools
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
