Environment, Health and Safety Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all site EHS programs, policies, and procedures in alignment with regulatory requirements and corporate standards.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulations, including process safety management (PSM) for chemical operations.
  • Conduct risk assessments, hazard analyses (e.g., HAZOP, JSA), and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Oversee incident investigation processes, root cause analysis, and reporting; ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
  • Manage environmental compliance programs, including air emissions, wastewater, hazardous waste, and chemical storage.
  • Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees, supervisors, and contractors.
  • Lead emergency response planning, drills, and coordination with local emergency services.
  • Monitor safety performance metrics, conduct audits and inspections, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and lead site inspections and audits.
  • Support capital projects and operational changes through Management of Change (MOC) processes.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through leadership engagement and employee involvement initiatives.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 7 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (chemical manufacturing experience preferred but not required).
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and general industry safety standards; familiarity with EPA regulations and process safety management (PSM) is a plus.
  • Professional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with incident investigation, risk assessment methodologies, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to influence at all levels of the organization and drive cultural change.

Salary : $90,000 - $160,000
