Attorney – Personal Injury (Pre-Litigation)

About the Opportunity
A leading national plaintiff-side litigation firm is seeking a Personal Injury Attorney to join its Birmingham office, focusing on pre-litigation matters. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is interested in managing a high-volume caseload while developing leadership skills.
This role offers the chance to oversee a dedicated support team, handle impactful cases, and contribute to a structured, performance-driven practice with strong earning potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a high-volume caseload of pre-litigation personal injury cases (primarily automotive)
- Oversee all day-to-day pre-litigation activities, from intake through resolution
- Guide clients through the legal process with consistent communication and support
- Draft and file pre-litigation documents, including demand packages
- Evaluate liability and damages, including handling approvals and case strategy decisions
- Lead settlement negotiations and oversee resolution strategy
- Manage the release approval process and case closings
- Supervise and mentor a team of 6–10 Case Managers
- Handle EUOs, PIP statements, and recorded statements
- Drive team performance through KPI tracking and compliance standards
Qualifications
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active, in good standing with the California Bar
- 1 year of personal injury experience (pre-litigation preferred)
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload efficiently
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent client service and communication abilities
- Superior writing, analytical, and negotiation skills
