The Up Coalition is a community anti-drug coalition, and the Youth Prevention Educator will support and provide youth prevention programs and activities within the coalition.

Job Duties
The Youth Prevention Educator will act as a liaison between Pivot and the Up Coalition, supporting and providing youth prevention programs and activities within the coalition. Duties include:
· Assists with community-specific needs assessment activities including community scans.
· Build coalition capacity by increasing youth participation in the Up Coalition via engagement and recruitment of county youth.
· Provides presentations to schools, stakeholders and community members.
· Organize, oversee and conduct specific prevention activities, i.e. “sticker shock”
· Advocate for the establishment of school and community policies and laws that protect youth from the harms of substance use.
· Act as a liaison between Pivot and the Up Coalition
· Attend relevant trainings as directed by the supervisor(s)
· Submit required reports to OASAS by the 10th of each month
· Participate in regular OASAS program meetings
· Assist the Up Coalition Coordinator with other activities as needed
· Perform other duties as assigned
· Maintain confidentiality
This is a 70-hour, bi-weekly position offering an excellent benefits package. The position is temporary, grant-funded with the possibility of future funding.
