Nurse Practitioner Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our on-site healthcare clinic located at our client's manufacturing plant in Muscatine, IA.
The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, with a focus on occupational health settings. They will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the clinic, providing patient care, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and DOT programs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing post-offer physicals and non-work-related/return-to-work medical clearance examinations
- Providing urgent and episodic care to employees
- Responding to in-plant medical emergencies and evaluating employees with acute episodic illness, referring when appropriate
- Assessing, diagnosing, treating, and providing ongoing medical management of workplace injuries and non-occupational conditions (episodic and urgent)
- Case management of workman's compensation claims in conjunction with the employer representative and insurance carrier
- Maintaining health care unit inventory of medications and supplies
To succeed in this role, you will need strong administrative and management skills, as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Familiarity with manufacturing and production facility practices is also essential.
Salary : $70,000 - $120,000
