Job Title: Mortgage Closing Manager
Reports To: AVP of Closing/Post-Closing
Job Description: To manage, build, and mentor a team of closers. The primary responsibility is to manage the day-to-day operation of the Closing department to ensure all loans are closed according to investor guidelines.
Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain a positive work environment by developing relationships with all team members.
- Recruit, hire, train, lead, and manage daily activities of all closers.
- Motivate and assist team members to exceed daily and monthly goals.
- Lead periodic meetings to discuss improvement, provide feedback, and review changes.
- Coach, mentor, and evaluate staff at the team level which includes formal methods of performance feedback.
- Resolve, escalate, or remedy all issues in a professional manner.
- Primary contact for all closing questions and communication between sales, operations, and underwriting.
- Track all loans in pipeline, and prioritize accordingly, to allow for proper workflow.
- Assign files to team members to optimize daily objectives
- Generate initial / final closing requests as needed.
- Assist team members with any closing issues
- Implement training and other activities to allow for the dispersion of knowledge and abilities to staff.
- Assist with research and implementation of policy/procedure to allow for the expansion of Pivot
Lending Group and its partners ability to capitalize on all available products and business models.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Responds promptly to general set up questions
Summation: The Closing Manager position is responsible to assist a high functioning team with pipeline management, questions, and training of new staff. Acts as a liaison between sales, operations, underwriting and closing, with questions regarding status of loans. Monitors daily loan movement and works on process improvements to enhance turn times. This position has the ability to recommend hiring, firing, and disciplining employees.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
