Do you know tax forms, thrive on details, and enjoy keeping things organized? Pivot CPAs is looking for a Tax Workflow & Operations Associate—a role designed for professionals who want to step away from tax prep but still leverage their expertise. You’ll manage tax return workflows, ensure accuracy, and help close out engagements—all without the stress of preparing returns.
What You’ll Do
- Move Returns Through the Pipeline: Track tax return progress, manage e-filing for returns and extensions, resolve rejections, and finalize documents for delivery.
- Organize & Maintain: Create client folders, assist with onboarding, prepare tax organizers, and support year-end cleanup in tax software.
- Collaborate Internally: Work closely with the tax team, attend staff meetings, and provide backup support to partners as needed.
- Light Client Interaction: Occasionally assist clients with portals and document uploads—but this is primarily a back-office operations role.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
- 3–5 years in an accounting firm (tax experience strongly preferred)
- Familiarity with tax workflow tools (CCH Axcess, SafeSend, ShareFile)
- Strong understanding of tax forms and processes
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Tech-savvy and quick to learn new systems
