Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive construction estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and site conditions.
• Utilize estimating software such as B2W and Bluebeam to prepare detailed cost proposals.
• Conduct thorough quantity take-offs and pricing for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services for public, private, and federal jobs.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather accurate cost data and negotiate fair pricing.
• Monitor project budgets and perform cost control analyses throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review contracts and scope of work to ensure estimates align with contractual obligations and project requirements.
• Assist in bid preparation, including compiling bid packages and submitting proposals within deadlines.

Requirements

• Proven experience in civil construction estimating with a focus on civil infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction management processes, contracts, and project management principles.
• Proficiency in estimating tools such as B2W, HeavyBid, and Bluebeam; experience with additional software is a plus.
• Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Hands-on construction site experience that provides practical understanding of field operations.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documents accurately.

Salary Range: $125,000-$175,000
