Role Description The Civil Superintendent is a full-time, on-site role, responsible for overseeing daily field operations on active construction projects. This role coordinates subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and internal teams to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with plans, specifications, and quality standards. The Construction Superintendent monitors site progress, resolves field issues, manages inspections, and maintains clear documentation and daily reports. The role also enforces safety protocols, conducts regular safety meetings, and ensures compliance with all regulatory and company requirements. Collaboration with project managers, owners, and design professionals is essential to align project goals, manage changes, and support successful project completion.

Qualifications

• Strong Construction Site Management skills, including supervision of trades, coordination of daily activities, and enforcement of quality standards.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Construction Safety practices, OSHA requirements, and the ability to lead a safety-first culture on site.
• Effective Project Management and Budgeting skills, with experience supporting schedules, tracking costs, and assisting with change management.
• Solid Organization Skills, including time management, prioritization, and detailed recordkeeping for reports, inspections, and documentation.
• Previous experience as a superintendent or lead field supervisor on commercial or public works projects minimum of 5 years.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Clear, professional communication skills for interacting with team members, clients, inspectors, and subcontractors.
• Proficiency with basic construction technology tools (e.g., project management software, email, digital plans) is beneficial.
• Previous experience with South Transit and/or Public Works.

Salary Range: $140-$180k
