Position Description
POSITION TITLE : Speech-Language Pathologist
FLSA : Exempt
QUALIFICATIONS : Must hold proper state certification / licensure including a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
REPORTS TO : Principal and / or other Supervisor
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT : 200 days
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
QUALIFICATIONS : Applicants must be licensed by the Virginia Board of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology. Applicants must possess proper written and oral communication skills; have ability to work effectively with school personnel, students and parents; have effective leadership skills; and a good knowledge of position.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS :
- Abide by state statutes, school board policies and regulations.
- Attend meetings and performs duties as assigned by administrators or supervisors.
- Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulation.
- Serve on committees as assigned.
- Remain current on instructional practices in education. (e.g. instructional technology)
