Position Title: Student Tour Guide – Robotics & AI Discovery Day
Date and Time: Wednesday, November 5, 2025 | 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Location: David L. Lawrence Convention Center, Pittsburgh, PA
Compensation: $125 stipend
Position Summary
The nonprofit Pittsburgh Robotics Network is seeking educators and childcare professionals to serve as tour guides during Robotics & AI Discovery Day, a regional free event that showcases innovation in robotics, automation, and artificial intelligence. Tour guides will lead small groups of high school students (approximately 15 participants) through the exhibitor hall, facilitating conversations about STEM education, careers in robotics & AI, and real-world applications of classroom learning. This is a one day position for Wednesday, November 5, 2025, 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM.
Responsibilities
Lead 45 minute tours for assigned student groups
Engage students and maintain group safety
Represent the event with enthusiasm and professionalism
Qualifications
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Experience working with students preferred
Current, valid Pennsylvania clearances required:
Child Abuse History Clearance
State Police Criminal History Record
FBI Criminal History Record

- No robotics experience required. Just bring curiosity, energy, and great communication skills.
Additional Information
Pay is $125 flat rate for the day
Selected guides will be assigned to work either 8:45am - 2:15pm or 9:15am - 2:45pm.
Guides should plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early and check in at the Registration Kiosks outside Hall B.
A Pittsburgh Robotics & AI Discovery Day t-shirt will be provided. Comfortable attire is recommended.
Water, snacks, and 15-minute breaks between tours will be provided.
Parking downtown is limited; public transit is encouraged.
