The Project Assistant is directly supervised by the Principal and will work alongside the Leadership Team to support projects and initiatives focused on the operations and school culture of Pittsburgh Concord. The role will specifically support areas pertaining to restorative practices/PBIS and SEL, alternatives to suspension, and working closely with the leadership team to ensure student success. This encompasses supporting both the behavioral and academic agendas within the school.

Essential Functions
This position requires individuals to live in the territorial boundaries of the School District of Pittsburgh. If hired for this position you will be required to establish residence within three calendar months of your hire date with Pittsburgh Public Schools.

Essential Functions
- Assist with the implementation of Restorative Practices/PBIS and SEL programs at the school.
- Lead Restorative Practices/PBIS and SEL programs at the school.
- Support PBIS and Restorative practices programs at the school.
- Support our SOAR PBIS plan and coordinate student support plans via the MTSS process.
- Support Restorative lunches, detention, and other student support initiatives.
- Assist with peer mediation.
- Assist the student services department as directed by the school principal.
- Attends key meetings and training sessions as assigned by the Principal.
- Assist in the compilation and generation of reporting of statistical information regarding discipline at the school (suspensions, detentions, etc.),
- Support management of the daily operations of the school.
- Anticipate and meet the needs of the students and parents.
- Monitor students at key times (entry, hallway, lunch, dismissal).
- Document various procedures within the department and recommend improvements.
- Provide regular updates to supervisor regarding progress towards goals and challenges to meeting goals.
- Participate in departmental, team, and individual planning and goal setting.
- Communicate effectively and confidentially at all levels, over the phone, face-to-face, and electronically.
- Other relevant duties as assigned by supervisor in support of the Department's goals and objectives and the District's mission and Superintendent's Priority Goals.
- High School Diploma or GED (General Education Development) Required
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Possess strong word processing skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Publisher.
- Strong organizational, communication both oral and written, and interpersonal skills required.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment in analyzing and resolving problems quickly.
- Ability to work in a production team.
- Ability to be flexible and to respond in a timely manner to the needs of district-wide personnel is required.
- Ability to exercise a high degree of confidentiality, professionalism, and diplomacy to accomplish objectives.
- Ability to cultivate relationships with culturally, educationally, and racially diverse internal and external customers.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Enthusiastic about the fundamental goal of advancing student achievement in an urban public school district.
