- Hanging and focusing lights
- Lighting equipment maintenance
- Reading a light plot
- DMX accessory set up and patching
- Control console program
- Color mixing
- Lighting design
High School Diploma
CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE REQUIRE
None
Years Of Experience
Two years professional experience preferred. Prior teaching experience with this age group and professional certification preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Expertise in Microsoft Office applications, DMX protocols and moving light programing.
- Familiarity with ETC lighting control consoles and networking.
- Experience with software such as QLab, Vectorworks, Lightwright and/or AutoCAD.
- A working artist in the Pittsburgh Theater scene.
- Flexible, enthusiastic, detail-oriented, prepared to work in a deadline-driven environment
- Experienced in lighting for various types of events such as dance, theater, orchestra/choir
- Prepared to develop new course work as needed
- Ready to assist with load in/strike of school productions
- Ready to assist in supervision of students on focused set-build days
- Passionate about teaching young Production Technology students
- Enthusiastic about the fundamental goal of advancing student achievement in an urban public school district.
- Value, demonstrate, and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion .
- Ability to move, lift and hang lighting equipment
