Pittsburgh Pain Physicians in Cranberry Twp, PA is looking for one medical assistant to join our 6 person strong team. We are located on 125 Emeryville Drive Suite 240. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, ambitious, and hard-working.
Medical Assistant needed for an interventional pain management practice in Cranberry Twp PA.
Medical Assistant job responsibilities: Help patients by providing information, services, and assistance. Other duties include front desk capabilities; securing medical records; maintaining medical supplies inventory; performing preventive maintenance to keep equipment operating; and maintaining a clean office environment.
Medical Assistant job duties:
- Front desk responsibilities; including checking in and discharging patients at office visits, receiving patient phone calls, scheduling patient visits, faxing records, scanning records into Electronic Medical Records.
- Verify patient information by interviewing patient; recording a medical history; confirming purpose of visit, medication list, allergies, in the patient's’ Electronic Medical Records.
- Prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical test; taking blood pressure, weight and height; reporting patient history summary.
- Assist with minor office procedures; getting supplies ready for procedures and helping physician draw up medications for injections.
- Secure patient information and maintain patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; keep patient information confidential.
- Counsel patient by transmitting physicians’ orders and questions.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; comply with legal regulations.
- Keep supplies ready by inventory stock.
- Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
- Serve and protect the practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.
- Travel required to Cranberry Twp and Beaver Offices
Certified Medical Assistant Skills and Qualifications: Prior experience in Pain Management or Specialty practices is preferred, BUT not required. New graduates with excellent school performances may be considered. Must have excellent verbal communication skills; typing skills, supply management; infection control; create a safe and effective work environment, organizational skills; professionalism, customer focus, confidentiality; excellent bedside manner; and a team player
