Overview
The Sterile Processing Technician plays a crucial role in healthcare settings by ensuring that all surgical instruments and medical equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and maintained. This position requires a keen attention to detail and adherence to strict protocols to prevent infections and ensure patient safety. The technician will work closely with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals to provide essential support in the operating room. This is a PRN position, looking for 1-2 days/ week in the evening.

Duties

• Perform cleaning, decontamination, and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical equipment according to established protocols.
• Conduct inventory management of sterile supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained.
• Utilize aseptic techniques to prepare instruments for surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to understand specific needs for surgeries and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment maintenance.
