We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Press Brake and Laser Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. Duties
- Program, set up, and operate press brake machines for bending and forming metal parts with precision, utilizing CNC programming languages such as Fanuc or similar controls.
- Develop laser cutting programs using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software to optimize cutting paths and material utilization.
- Interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings, including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), to ensure accurate fabrication of parts.
- Adjust machine parameters and tooling configurations to achieve specified tolerances and surface finishes.
- Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of CNC machinery including laser cutters, press brakes, CNC milling machines, lathes, and related equipment.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify part dimensions against specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to implement lean manufacturing principles that improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance quality.
- Maintain detailed documentation of machine setups, production logs, inspection reports, and process adjustments for quality control purposes.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of CNC programming languages such as Fanuc or similar control systems used in press brake and laser machinery.
- Proficiency with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software including AutoCAD, SolidWorks or CATIA for interpreting drawings and creating program files.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, GD&T standards, and geometric measurements essential for precision manufacturing.
- Experience with CAM programming software tailored for laser cutting operations to maximize efficiency and material savings.
- Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of tooling selection, setup procedures, electrical discharge machining (EDM), and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles to foster continuous improvement in production processes.
- Ability to operate precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, CMMs, bore gauges, and other measurement tools accurately.
- Knowledge of electrical schematics related to CNC machinery operation and maintenance.
- Strong math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, angles, and geometric relationships necessary for precise fabrication.
