Retail Sales Associate

Job Summary
We are seeking a self-motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. We are seeking a candidates who are passionate about music, into guitar gear and enjoy dealing with people. The ideal candidate will be possess strong communication skills, a passion for retail sales, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment. The position is part time and will be at least 3 days per week including Saturdays. We are also open Sundays during thew holiday season.

Duties

• Provide great customer service by being approachable, knowledgeable, passionate, and a good listener to every customer both in person and over the telephone
• Assisting customers in person by answering questions and guiding them through the sales process to match them up with the right gear and accessories
• Take in guitar and amp repairs and write up work tickets
• Continually familiarize yourself with the inventory that we sell and the products that our manufacturers carry. Learning product knowledge is key to helping a customer
• Assist in receiving UPS and FedEx shipments
• Restock the store on a daily basis
• Assist in keeping the store in a clean and tidy condition
• Conduct sales transactions with a computer-based POS system and credit card machine
• Contribute content for Instagram & Facebook posts
• Pack up orders to be shipped out
• Familiarity with cash register operations and cash handling procedures is beneficial.
• Strong sales skills with the ability to engage customers and promote products effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact positively with customers and team members. Open to receive guidance and execute tasks under the supervision of senior colleagues
• Assist in keeping the store in a clean & tidy condition
• High School Diploma/GED
• Must have basic guitar-playing skills
• General knowledge of guitars, amps, accessories, and guitar maintenance
• Previous customer service/retail experience is a bonus
• Basic computer and math skills
• A self-motivated personality is a must

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 36.0 per week
