Work Schedule
- 12-hour shift (2-2-3 schedule)
- Day or Night Shift Options
- Overtime, holidays, and weekend shifts as needed
What You'll Do
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be vital to ensuring our production systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. Your day may include:
Hands-On Mechanical & Electrical Work
- Perform routine and complex repairs on machinery, drills, air cylinders, and instrumentation
- Troubleshoot and repair using mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic schematics
- Install, dismantle, and upgrade equipment and structures
- Conduct preventive maintenance to maximize uptime
Advanced Troubleshooting & Diagnostics
- Work with Fanuc robots, robot pendants, and Allen-Bradley controllers (experience preferred)
- Use oscilloscopes, vibration analysis tools, and PCs for diagnostics and problem-solving
- Analyze technical data to determine root causes and implement solutions
Operational Support & Communication
- Complete work orders to support production lines
- Maintain accurate logbooks, records, and reports
- Collaborate with production teams and other maintenance personnel
- Provide training and guidance to junior maintenance staff
Equipment Operation
- Operate forklifts, man-lifts, and overhead cranes
- Safely utilize hand tools, power tools, welding/cutting equipment, and other shop tools
Safety & Environmental Responsibility
- Follow all PPE standards and LOTO procedures
- Ensure safe use and disposal of cleaning agents
- Support energy efficiency and pollution-prevention efforts
Working Conditions
- Active, hands-on work in a manufacturing environment
- Exposure to heat, noise, moving machinery, and heights
- Occasional outdoor tasks in varying weather
- Independent work with minimal supervision
Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Technical associate degree or equivalent experience (preferred)
Experience
- 1 year mechanical experience (preferred)
- 1 year PLC experience (preferred)
Additional Requirements
- Completion of training/certifications in accordance with Maintenance Apprenticeship Program
- Willingness to participate in ongoing technical training as equipment evolves
