Pittsburgh Fresh is a meal delivery and catering service company.
We are an expanding business and we are looking for a reliable and eager chef to expand with us. We provide our customers with fully prepared meals delivered to their door. Our menu changes weekly. Please visit www.pghfresh.com/menu to see our current offerings.
The ideal candidate must have professional kitchen experience, and someone with catering and/or fine dining experience would be preferred. The ability to cook from scratch is an absolute must as we use fresh ingredients each week. We also cook in large quantities. This person should also be comfortable in a fast-paced environment where efficiency is desired.
An independent thinker is required, but taking direction is also a part of the job.
You will be prepping and cooking during your shift. This position is not a management position.
Job Requirements:
- Professional kitchen experience
- Ability to cook from scratch
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques
- Ensure customer orders are prepared according to recipes or special requests
- Comfortable with all stations of a professional kitchen
- Comfortable cooking in large batches.
- Ensure company food safety and sanitation procedures are met at all times
- Positive attitude, flexibility, and works well with others
- Driver's License with willingness to perform deliveries and party setup when needed
- Servsafe certified, preferred
Weekly Average Hours: 30 - 35 hours;
Preview Sample Hours(upon project completion):
Monday: 7:30am -1pm
Tuesday: Off
Wednesday: 7:30am - 1pm
Thursday: 7:30am - 4pm
Friday : 7:30am - 4pm
Saturday: 7:30am-1pm
Sunday: Off
