Job Description
INSPECTIONS TECHNICIAN
Job Summary:
The Inspection Helper will assist job Foreman and crew with various duties associated with inspection of steel structures.
Job Duties:
- Assists with staging equipment
- Assists with operations of robotic equipment
- Takes photos of structures
- Takes thickness readings for steel structures and coatings
- Properly collect and dispose of consumable items and waste on jobsites
- Document work as needed

Qualifications:
- Must be comfortable with working in high places and confined spaces
- Ability to follow safety policies and procedures
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Works well with a team
- Able to drive a company vehicle safely to field sites
- Possesses strong problem-solving skills
- Manages time effectively
- Detail-oriented
- Must be willing to travel five days per week and sometimes two weeks at a time across the country
- Ability to lift 40lbs on regular basis
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
