Professional Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related subject from an accredited institution or related field teacher. Certified or certifiable by the NH Department of Education. Experience is preferred but not necessary for hiring.

Physical Requirements:
Duties performed typically in school settings include Classrooms, gymnasium, cafeteria, auditorium, and recreational areas.
●Ability to communicate with students and adults frequently.
●Lift to 20 – 30 lbs. regularly.
●Walk regularly.
●Sit frequently.
●Stand regularly.
●Occasional travel with students on field trips may be necessary.
●Occasional movement of students by wheelchairs and other mechanical devices may be requested.
●Other physical activities may be required.
Responsibilities:
Duties of this job include, but are not limited to:
●Developing and implementing plans for the age-appropriate curriculum with written evidence of preparation required.
●Instructs students in citizenship and basic subject matter. Integrate tech into lessons.
●Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and provides individualized and small group instruction in order to adapt the
curriculum to the needs of each student.
●Uses a variety of instruction strategies, such as inquiry, group discussion, lecture, discovery, etc.
●Translates lesson plans into learning experiences so as to best utilize the available time for instruction.
●Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom.
●Evaluate students’ academic and social growth, keep appropriate records, and prepare progress reports.
●Communicate with parents through conferences and other means to discuss students’ progress and interpret the school
program.
●Identifies student needs, communicates, and cooperates with other professional staff members in assessing and helping
students solve health, attitude, and learning problems.
●Creates an effective environment for learning through functional and attractive displays, bulletin boards, and interest centers.
●Maintains professional competence through in-service education activities provided by professional growth activities.
●Participates in cooperative with appropriate administrators to develop the method by which the teacher will be evaluated in
conformance with guidelines.
●Selects and requisitions books and instructional aids; maintains required inventory records.
●Supervises students in out-of-classroom activities during the school day.
●Administers group standardized tests in accordance with the state testing program.
●Participates in curriculum development programs as required.
●Participates in faculty committees and the sponsorship of student activities.
●Plans and uses appropriate instructional/learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflect accommodation for
individual needs of students assigned.
●Assesses student learning styles and uses results for instructional activities.
●Works cooperatively with special education teachers to modify curricula as needed for special education students.
●Cooperate with other members of the staff in planning and implementing instructional goals, objectives, and methods according
to state requirements.
●Plans and supervises purposeful assignments for teacher aide(s) and/or volunteers(s).
●Use technologies in the teaching/learning process.
●Assists students in analyzing and improving methods and habits of work based on competencies.
●Consistently assesses student achievement through formative and summative assessments.
●Assumes responsibility for extracurricular activities assigned and may sponsor outside activities approved by the school.
●Presents a positive role model for students that supports the mission of the school.
●Keeps informed of and comply with state, city, and school regulations and policies for classroom health and safety.
●Compiles, maintains, and files all reports, records, and other documents required.
