Professional Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related subject from an accredited institution or related field teacher. Certified or certifiable by the NH Department of Education. Experience is preferred but not necessary for hiring. The minimum requirements would be basic Google Workspace, email, and Internet for education resources. ●Meet professional teacher education requirements of school districts and states. Physical Requirements: Duties performed typically in school settings include Classrooms, gymnasium, cafeteria, auditorium, and recreational areas. ●Ability to communicate with students and adults frequently. ●Lift to 20 – 30 lbs. regularly. ●Walk regularly. ●Sit frequently. ●Stand regularly. ●Occasional travel with students on field trips may be necessary. ●Occasional movement of students by wheelchairs and other mechanical devices may be requested. ●Other physical activities may be required. Responsibilities: Duties of this job include, but are not limited to: ●Developing and implementing plans for the age-appropriate curriculum with written evidence of preparation required. ●Instructs students in citizenship and basic subject matter. Integrate tech into lessons. ●Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and provides individualized and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student. ●Uses a variety of instruction strategies, such as inquiry, group discussion, lecture, discovery, etc. ●Translates lesson plans into learning experiences so as to best utilize the available time for instruction. ●Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom. ●Evaluate students’ academic and social growth, keep appropriate records, and prepare progress reports. ●Communicate with parents through conferences and other means to discuss students’ progress and interpret the school program. ●Identifies student needs, communicates, and cooperates with other professional staff members in assessing and helping students solve health, attitude, and learning problems. ●Creates an effective environment for learning through functional and attractive displays, bulletin boards, and interest centers. ●Maintains professional competence through in-service education activities provided by professional growth activities. ●Participates in cooperative with appropriate administrators to develop the method by which the teacher will be evaluated in conformance with guidelines. ●Selects and requisitions books and instructional aids; maintains required inventory records. ●Supervises students in out-of-classroom activities during the school day. ●Administers group standardized tests in accordance with the state testing program. ●Participates in curriculum development programs as required. ●Participates in faculty committees and the sponsorship of student activities. ●Plans and uses appropriate instructional/learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflect accommodation for individual needs of students assigned. ●Assesses student learning styles and uses results for instructional activities. ●Works cooperatively with special education teachers to modify curricula as needed for special education students. ●Cooperate with other members of the staff in planning and implementing instructional goals, objectives, and methods according to state requirements. ●Plans and supervises purposeful assignments for teacher aide(s) and/or volunteers(s). ●Use technologies in the teaching/learning process. ●Assists students in analyzing and improving methods and habits of work based on competencies. ●Consistently assesses student achievement through formative and summative assessments. ●Assumes responsibility for extracurricular activities assigned and may sponsor outside activities approved by the school. ●Presents a positive role model for students that supports the mission of the school. ●Keeps informed of and comply with state, city, and school regulations and policies for classroom health and safety. ●Compiles, maintains, and files all reports, records, and other documents required.
