Auto mechanic/technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Auto Mechanic/Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, diagnostics, and maintenance, with experience working on a variety of vehicle makes and models. This role involves performing repairs, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring vehicles are maintained to the highest standards. Candidates with dealership experience, knowledge of ADAS systems, and expertise in diesel engine repair will be highly valued. Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive issues using advanced diagnostic tools and schematics
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks
• Conduct complex repairs on powertrain systems, electrical systems, and vehicle alignment
• Repair or replace components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized automotive repair tools effectively
• Interpret vehicle service manuals and schematics to accurately troubleshoot problems
• Work on both gasoline and diesel engines, including diesel engine repair and maintenance
• Perform auto body repairs when necessary and ensure vehicles meet safety standards
• Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used for each vehicle
• Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs needed and ensuring customer satisfaction

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an auto mechanic or technician; dealership experience is preferred
• Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, and vehicle maintenance procedures
• Familiarity with ADAS technology, vehicle diagnostics software, and schematics reading skills
• Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive repair tools safely and efficiently
• Experience working on GM vehicles is a plus
• Mechanical knowledge across various systems including auto body repair and automotive service procedures
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues accurately
• Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence
• ASE certification or equivalent is desirable but not required

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
