Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Auto Mechanic/Technician to join our service team. Candidates with dealership experience, knowledge of ADAS systems, and expertise in diesel engine repair will be highly valued. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive issues using advanced diagnostic tools and schematics
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks
- Conduct complex repairs on powertrain systems, electrical systems, and vehicle alignment
- Repair or replace components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized automotive repair tools effectively
- Interpret vehicle service manuals and schematics to accurately troubleshoot problems
- Work on both gasoline and diesel engines, including diesel engine repair and maintenance
- Perform auto body repairs when necessary and ensure vehicles meet safety standards
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used for each vehicle
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs needed and ensuring customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an auto mechanic or technician; dealership experience is preferred
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, and vehicle maintenance procedures
- Familiarity with ADAS technology, vehicle diagnostics software, and schematics reading skills
- Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive repair tools safely and efficiently
- Experience working on GM vehicles is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge across various systems including auto body repair and automotive service procedures
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues accurately
- Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence
- ASE certification or equivalent is desirable but not required
