Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal coating adhesion.
- Operate airless paint spraying equipment, powder coating booths, and hand tools with precision and safety.
- Load and unload materials using forklifts and crane systems, ensuring proper handling and materials management.
- Inspect finished products for quality, color consistency, and surface defects using precision measuring instruments.
- Maintain a clean work area by following lean manufacturing practices and proper materials handling procedures.
- Perform basic auto body repair techniques when necessary to correct surface imperfections before coating.
- Collaborate with fabrication and assembly teams to ensure coatings are applied accurately according to specifications.
Skills
- Proficiency with industrial painting techniques, including airless paint spraying and powder coating application.
- Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing processes, machining, welding, and auto body repair.
- Experience operating forklifts, cranes, power tools, hand tools, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Familiarity with materials handling, fabrication, assembly, and the use of precision measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow efficiency.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and process adjustments.
- Strong understanding of construction painting standards and auto painting techniques for detailed finishes.
