Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Farm Associate to join our agricultural team. In this role, you will be hands-on in maintaining the farm’s daily operations and caring for animals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, develop farming skills, and contribute to sustainable agriculture practices. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about farming, possesses mechanical and animal husbandry knowledge, and enjoys working in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with animal husbandry tasks including feeding, watering, and health monitoring of poultry.
- Operate farm machinery and heavy equipment like tractors and mowers.
- Work week - Monday-Friday 7a-3p. Weekend work expected as the need arises.
- Be able to work unsupervised
- Barn and farm maintenance
- Mortality Disposal
- Flock preparation and husbandry
Qualifications
- Previous farm experience or background in agriculture or horticulture is highly desirable.
- 18 years of age
- Knowledge of farm tools, power tools, and general maintenance tasks is a plus.
- Travel to other farms in the region may be required
