As a Junior Full Stack Developer at Pitch Aeronautics, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of our software platform, which helps utility customers visualize and analyze operational, environmental, and risk-related data. You’ll support more senior developers, implement features across the stack, and assist with infrastructure and DevOps tasks in AWS. Responsibilities
- Contribute to front-end and back-end development for our web-based applications.
- Assist in maintaining and improving our AWS-based cloud infrastructure.
- Help integrate with IoT devices and third-party APIs.
- Collaborate with designers to implement responsive, intuitive user interfaces.
- Participate in the development of RESTful APIs.
- Follow secure coding practices and assist in maintaining security of utility data.
- Work closely with product managers, engineers, and QA as part of a collaborative development team.
- Participate in Agile development processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of professional experience in full stack development or software engineering.
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks (e.g., React or Angular) and back-end languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js.
- Experience working with AWS services or cloud-based infrastructure.
- Proficiency working with version control tools (Git)
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident due to ITAR and government contract requirements.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Hands-on experience with web application development in a startup or small-team environment.
- Familiarity with Agile development practices.
- Interest or experience in the utility or energy sector.
- Exposure to cybersecurity best practices or certifications (a plus but not required).
