About Pit Stop Detailers
Pit Stop Detailers is a mobile auto detailing marketplace launching in the Tampa Bay area. We bring the customers; you bring the skills and the rig. This is an independent contractor (1099) opportunity for detailers who run their own business or want to start one.
Service area
Tampa, Brandon, Riverview, Valrico, Lutz, and Wesley Chapel. You choose which areas you cover.
What you'll do
- Perform mobile detailing at customers' homes and offices (interior, exterior, and full details) and ceramic and tint if you are trained
- Take before and after photos of every job in our app
- Communicate with customers about arrival and any vehicle condition issues
- Deliver quality work that earns 5-star reviews
Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Auto insurance on the vehicle you use for jobs
- Commercial general liability insurance ($1,000,000). Don't have it yet? You can get it before your first job, and we can point you in the right direction.
- Pass a background check (we pay for it)
- At least 1 year of professional detailing experience, with photos of your work
- Your own equipment and products (pressure washer, vacuum, extractor, polisher as needed)
- Reliable vehicle and a smartphone
- 18 or older
What you earn
- 65% of every job price, shown before you accept
- 100% of your tips
- Weekly direct deposit every Friday
- Example: a Signature detail on a car is $229 - you earn $148.85
- SUVs, trucks, and minivans pay more
- Pay is per job, not hourly. The hourly range shown is an estimate based on typical job times. You supply your own products and equipment.
How it works
- Accept the jobs you want and decline the ones you don't. No minimums.
- Set your own availability and service area.
- Keep your own business and work with your own customers or other platforms.
- We handle booking, payment, and customer support.
Detailing shops welcome - shops can offer drop-off detailing during their own hours.
Bonus skills: paint correction, ceramic coating, window tint.
