Who We’re Looking For
We’re hiring a Field Sales Representative to grow our customer base, develop lasting relationships, and drive revenue across your assigned territory. You’ll be the face of PIRTEK to facility managers, maintenance directors, fleet operators, and plant engineers, the people who can’t afford equipment downtime.
This is outside B2B sales in an industrial environment. You don’t need hose or hydraulics experience. We’ll train you on the product and the industry. But you do need to be credible in front of people who work with their hands and make decisions based on trust and results. We’re looking for someone with 2-3 years of B2B sales experience who is self-directed, competitive, and comfortable building a territory independently. Strong candidates often come from backgrounds like:
- Industrial distribution or supply sales
- Equipment rental or tool sales
- Building materials or construction supply sales
- Fleet services, janitorial, or facility maintenance sales
- Any outside B2B role where you owned a territory and hunted new business
Responsibilities
- Prospect and acquire new accounts through cold calls, site visits, and referrals
- Grow existing accounts by identifying additional needs and introducing PIRTEK’s full range of services
- Maintain regular contact with customers post-sale to ensure satisfaction and retention
- Document all sales activity (visits, calls, wins, losses, and pipeline) in the CRM
- Develop territory plans and sales forecasts
- Represent PIRTEK at local trade shows and industry events
- Coordinate with service technicians to ensure seamless handoff from sale to service delivery
- Adhere to all PIRTEK and industry safety standards
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Work Environment
You’ll spend most of your time in the field making sales calls across your territory, with periodic time at the PIRTEK Service & Supply Center for meetings and coordination. Expect to visit industrial sites, construction yards, manufacturing plants, and fleet operations where oil, grease, and heavy equipment are common. Occasional travel for training may be required at no cost to you.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (bachelor’s degree a plus but not required)
- Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record
- 2-3 years of B2B outside sales experience with a demonstrable track record of meeting or exceeding targets
- Industrial, mechanical, maritime, construction, or related field experience is a plus but not required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage your own schedule, pipeline, and priorities independently
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening; may be subject to reasonable-suspicion and post-accident testing during employment. Testing will be performed in compliance of all regulations.
- Must be able to pass a background check consistent with the position’s requirements
- Ability to safely and lawfully drive a vehicle
Compensation & Benefits
