Investment Operations Manager

We are looking for an entrepreneurial and self-driven operator to lead our co-investment network. This role is for someone who can navigate the complexities of investment management. Someone who enjoys staying”close to the metal” in the founder-startup-investor world, with no theater.

It is not for someone interested in becoming an investor (capital allocator).

Responsibilities

· Highlight the deficiencies of the old model vs the new one, contributing to design/implement our playbook. Enforcing our Terms of Service, while keeping the business unit compliant.

· Onboard and profile network members. Keeping an eye for key accounts, anticipating minimum activity and network density.

· An eye for collecting intel to feed into our proprietary taxonomy database.

· Implement and execute dynamic-carry pricing (Dutch auction). Bringing novelty, market transparency, and replacing lobby with conviction.

· Document chain of contracts around custody, proof of holdings, deadlines. Balancing third party services without delegating key understanding.

· After sale: assist with investor relations, managing expectations and sharing selective updates, clues for secondary market activity.

· Lay the groundworks to file for broker-dealer license.

Requirements

· Get shit done attitude.

· Excellent communication skills with a natural American accent.

· US person based in EST time zone.

· Always on the ball. Comfortable picking up the phone on WhatsApp, or jumping on a videocall on short notice, delivering Amazon-level client service and peace of mind.

· Good at maths.

· Deep inside-out understanding of modern SPV operations and fund management platforms (eg. AngelList, JOBS act, etc).

· General angel investment domain understanding.

· 4 years of hands-on investment operations experience. Familiar with all the nitty-gritty of securities law, capital markets, and investor relations specifically in the angel investment space and the US startup ecosystem.

· Long term commitment.

Nice to have

· Experience in financial consulting (eg. Deloitte, Riveron, Accordion) or familiarity with investment ancillary tasks like accounting, tax, reporting.

· Some Spanish, and/or Google-translate your way through.

· Can get their hands messy customizing WordPress plugins or other innovative online solutions to support scale.

· Bitcoin hodler.

· Moneyball (the movie) fan.
