Piquette and Howard Electric Service is seeking a motivated Electrician / Field Technician to join our growing team. We are a NETA Qualified Electrical Maintenance Contractor specializing in electrical testing, preventative maintenance, power system studies, and commissioning services.

Daily Responsibilities
- Collect field data for Arc Flash, Short-Circuit, and Coordination Studies.
- Perform Infrared Thermography inspections and Visual/Mechanical Surveys.
- Conduct Demand and Power Quality Studies.
- Perform preventive maintenance electrical testing on low- and medium-voltage equipment.
- Conduct acceptance testing of new electrical equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical distribution systems and equipment.
- Complete detailed testing reports using computer-based software.
- Work safely while following all company and industry safety standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid electrical license in New Hamshire or Massachusetts, and/or a Minimum 3 years of experience in the electrical testing trade.
- Strong understanding of electrical theory and electrical distribution systems.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proficient with computers, tablets, and technology.
- Strong work ethic with a willingness to work overtime and occasional travel as required.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
The following experience is highly desirable but not required:
- NETA Accredited or NETA Qualified Technician.
- Experience performing Infrared Thermography inspections or certification in thermography.
- Experience performing Polarization Index (PI) and Dielectric Absorption Ratio (DAR) testing with insulation resistance (Megger) testing equipment.
- Experience performing contact resistance testing using a Digital Low Resistance Ohmmeter (DLRO).
- Understanding of Arc Flash, Short-Circuit, and Protective Device Coordination Studies.
- Experience performing electrical acceptance and maintenance testing in accordance with NETA MTS standards.
- Familiarity with NETA specifications and NFPA 70B Recommended Practice for Electrical Equipment Maintenance.
